The London Beekeepers' Association (LBKA) is a volunteer-run members' organisation and Registered Charity that represents the interests of beekeepers and urban beekeeping in the central London area (see neighbouring associations). We provide education and advice, promoting responsible bee keeping and raising awareness of the issues affecting bees.
If you live in London and already keep bees, intend to do so or are simply interested in this fascinating hobby, LBKA is the association for you. Even if you don't keep bees, joining us will help support our cause, our campaigns and education programmes.

May | Sunday 11th May 2025: Monthly meeting: In the Apiary
11:00-13:00 at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses
We hold our monthly meetings on the second Sunday morning each month. Our next workshop/monthly meeting will be on Sunday 11th May at Brockwell Park SE24 9BN. 11am start in the Community Greenhouses, where our LBKA Apiary is located.
This meeting will be a more practical and bee-based event, showcasing different techniques and what to do in an Apiary in the month of May. There are some tasks to do in Brockwell, which we'll showcase, including moving a nuc to a full hive and the process of moving bees by doing a comb exchange between a Langstroth and a 14x12. We also plan to show how to set up and manage an observation hive and go through some swarm prevention processes.
These meetings are always good for meeting other beekeepers and asking any questions you might have about any aspect of beekeeping. Do join us if you can!
